GWADAR: Under the Old Town Rehabilitation Project, the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) is making significant strides in providing modern residential facilities, beautifying the area, and boosting business activities. The GDA is upgrading the infrastructure of the old city area in line with the Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan.
Key components of the project include the construction and paving of approximately 24 kilometers of roads and streets, along with the installation of new sewerage and drainage lines. Efforts are also focused on the construction, restoration, and expansion of educational institutions, Eidgahs, graveyards, and ancient cultural heritage sites.
As part of the clean water supply initiative, the GDA has laid nearly 350 kilometers of new pipelines across the city and surrounding villages. Additionally, water storage tanks with a total capacity of approximately 10 million gallons have been constructed at four locations within the city.
