TDAP Holds Awareness Session on EDF at Gwadar Chamber

GWADAR: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on Tuesday conducted an awareness session on the Export Development Fund (EDF) at the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) in collaboration with the University of Gwadar to sensitise the local business community about EDF initiatives.

The session was well received by Gwadar’s business community, which appreciated TDAP’s outreach efforts and urged that EDF projects be launched in the coastal belt of Balochistan to tap into the region’s export potential.

Director TDAP Gwadar, Asif Kakar, delivered a detailed presentation on the EDF, outlining the registration and application procedures through the EDF web portal, the fund’s mandate, and ongoing and proposed projects.

His presentation was complemented by remarks from Jian Hoth, President GCCI; Haji Basit, President Gwadar Fish Industry Association; and former GCCI President Nagmum. Dr. Ahsan, Vice Chancellor of Loralai University, and Hafeez Baloch from Gwadar University joined the session online.

Speakers highlighted the strategic importance of EDF-supported projects for enhancing export-oriented activities in Gwadar and the wider Balochistan coastal region.
