UAF Invites Applications for Chinese Consul General Scholarship 2024-25

FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has announced the opening of applications for the Chinese Consul General Scholarship (CCGS) for the academic year 2024-25.  This one-year scholarship will be available to second-year undergraduate and postgraduate students who are not already receiving any other scholarship, financial assistance, or stipend.  According to the university's official notification, students from disciplines including Agri Economics, Agriculture, Bioinformatics, DVM, Microbiology, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Sciences, Computer Sciences, Food Science & Technology, and Software Engineering are eligible to apply for the CCGS scholarship. UAF has been actively collaborating with various Chinese educational institutions through student exchange programs and research initiatives. In May, UAF, Jiangxi Vocational and Technical College of Industry and Trade (JVTC), and Tang Chinese Education and Technology Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the CCTE Modern Sino-Pak Dual Diploma and Joint Technical Education Program. This initiative aims to enhance educational and technical cooperation between Pakistan and China.

On August 14, Mr. Shirin while addressing CCG Scholarship distribution ceremony at University of South Asia, Lahore stated that as the CPEC phase II is going forward, more focus will be given to the educational cooperation, cultural exchanges, and poverty reduction. This partnership will bring the hearts of two peoples closer and further strengthen our mutual understanding and brotherly friendship. Pakistan will soon dispatch 1,000 college students to study modern agricultural technology in China, and another 200, 000 young Pakistani talents will get IT and AI-related training from China.
