UAF Partners with Country Plus Food to Enhance Research, Technology, and Food Innovation

FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and Country Plus Food have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on research, technology transfer, internships, and other areas of mutual interest.
The MoU was signed by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan and Country Plus Food CEO Tahir Farooq.
Under the agreement, both institutions will work together to develop new value-added food products, conduct outreach initiatives, and support research and internships.
Dr. Khan emphasized the importance of aligning food products with international standards to not only meet domestic needs but also boost foreign exchange earnings. He highlighted the establishment of the Pakistan-Korea Nutrition Center at UAF, which is focused on research and training to address malnutrition.
Dr. Masood Sadiq Butt underscored the need for value addition in food products, which he said could create new employment opportunities. Farooq added that his company is committed to producing nutritionally enriched food products based on scientific principles, in partnership with UAF.
