Pakistan and Iran Discuss Energy Cooperation at Belt & Road Conference in China

QINGDAO: Federal Minister for Power, Sardar Awais Leghari, met with Iranian Energy Minister Abbas Ali Abadi on the sidelines of the Third Belt & Road Ministerial Conference in Qingdao, China. 

The ministers emphasized the importance of cross-border energy projects for boosting connectivity and trade, with a particular focus on electricity development in Gwadar, Balochistan.

Both sides highlighted the need for enhanced regional energy connectivity, cooperation in power plant operations, and effective plant management to sustain energy output and meet growing demands. Regular coordination and communication were underscored as key to advancing energy collaboration.
