BEIJING: President Asif Ali Zardari met Premier of the State Council of China, Li Qiang, at the iconic Great Hall of the People today, reinforcing the enduring Pakistan-China friendship.
During the meeting, President Zardari lauded the “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” between the two countries—a bond nurtured by generations of visionary leaders from both sides. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to further strengthening this time-tested relationship, highlighting the vital role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in fostering regional connectivity and economic development.
President Zardari expressed profound appreciation for China’s consistent support for Pakistan’s development agenda. Both leaders agreed to accelerate high-quality development under CPEC Phase 2.0, focusing on renewable energy, science and technology, infrastructure, and agriculture to achieve shared prosperity.
