Pakistan-China Institute Hosts Conference Celebrating China’s 75th Anniversary

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan-China Institute, led by Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, held an international conference, “China at 75: A Journey of Progress, Transformation, and Global Leadership,” commemorating the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. Key figures included Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, and notable South Asian officials.

Senator Hussain lauded China’s peaceful rise and longstanding ties with Pakistan, summarizing China’s journey as the “3 R’s”: Revolution, Reform, and Rise. Ambassador Jiang highlighted the Belt and Road Initiative, urging stronger South-South cooperation.

Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for China’s policies, underscoring the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s impact.

Other speakers emphasized China’s transformative influence on global development, climate leadership, and poverty alleviation. The event, drawing over 250 attendees from academia, government, and industry, featured a report launch on China’s historical progress under leaders from Mao Zedong to Xi Jinping.
